What started out as a personal project to make an ampersand out of something different for 100 days has blossomed into a lifelong love and curiosity for the "&" symbol.
Bringing the Ampersand to Life
What would it feel like to hug an ampersand? Or to smell one? I wanted to bring this character to life in a big way — a 4ft tall sculpture made of a styrofoam core and plaster coating.
